We make sure every young person can flourish.
Associazione Eudaimonia is an Italian non-profit working on international mobility, non-formal education and active European citizenship, with two specific areas of expertise: the ethical use of artificial intelligence and the marine and coastal environment. Established in 2026 in Abruzzo, built from day one to work across Europe.
Open to Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps consortia for 2027.

Literally it does not mean «happiness» but something more demanding and more precise: having your daimon in good order, which is to say succeeding at being what you are. Not a passing mood, but a life that works because the person can exercise their capacities in full. Two readings far apart in time say the same thing, and between them they explain the name.

Not an invitation to stay put. Becoming what you are means first finding out what that is, and nobody finds out alone or in the abstract: they find out by trying, failing, and meeting people unlike themselves. Our work sits entirely inside that condition.

Aims
Six commitments, one goal
Six directions of work. These are not good intentions: they are commitments we made, and we accept being measured against them.

International mobility
Getting young people and youth workers across borders, because encountering another way of living is the hardest form of learning to reproduce in a classroom.

Non-formal education
Designing learning that happens outside school and making it recognisable: documented transversal competences, not experiences that remain anecdotes.

Active European citizenship
Turning Europe from an administrative acronym into a space where people speak up: democratic participation, intercultural dialogue, the practice of disagreement.

Digital and AI literacy
Understanding how platforms, data and AI models work, what using them ethically actually means, and why a person must stay accountable for the final decision. Not usage: comprehension.

Inclusion and equal opportunities
Designing from those most likely to be left out for economic, geographic, health or background reasons, instead of adding them at the end.
- 06
Environmental sustainability and marine ecology
A cross-cutting dimension of every activity, from travel to materials to logistics, and a subject in its own right: the sea, the coast and the inland areas, starting from the Adriatic we look out on.
Method
How we work
Four steps we repeat on every project, from a neighbourhood workshop to an international exchange.

Listening
We start from the real needs of a group, gathered on the ground with the people who know that group. No project starts from a deadline: it starts from a question.

Co-design
Participants and partners write the programme with us. People who undergo an activity do not learn; people who build one do.
- 3
Delivery
Structured non-formal education: experience, reflection, conceptualisation, application. Facilitation, not lecturing.

Recognition and impact
Youthpass and equivalent tools to certify competences, indicators defined before we start, results published under an open licence.
Activities
What we can deliver
Different formats for different needs. These are the ones we focus on.
Youth exchanges
Groups of young people from several countries living and working together on a theme, for one to three weeks.
Youth worker mobility
Training courses, seminars and study visits for people who work with young people professionally.
Job shadowing
Observation periods hosted by partner organisations, to transfer practices that actually work.
European Solidarity Corps
Individual and team volunteering, sending and hosting, on projects of social value.
Local workshops
Pathways across Abruzzo: AI literacy, media literacy, field-based environmental and marine education, guidance on European mobility, active citizenship.
Research and publications
Documentation, toolkits and training materials in open formats, reusable by other organisations.

Three founding members in Montesilvano and a Governing Board serving until 2028.

Registrations and European identity
Tax code and Organisation ID (OID) assigned; the dedicated bank account and the first European network memberships still to come.

First partnerships
Joining European networks, signing partnership agreements and taking a first partner role in Erasmus+ KA152 and KA153 applications.

First application as coordinator
Submitting a project under the association's own responsibility and starting the European Solidarity Corps Quality Label process.

Erasmus+ accreditation
Applying for accreditation (KA120) in the youth field, to plan multi-annual mobility instead of working project by project.
